Legal Analysis and Tools

Legal experts have offered opinions on the validity – and, indeed, the necessity – of economic legislation to #StopSettlements. Some countries have introduced or are potentially considering legislation to prohibit the sale and entry of goods from illegal Israeli colonial settlements. The most notable of these bills is the Occupied Territories Bill under consideration in Ireland. Similar draft legislation has been proposed for Belgium, as well as a draft proposal for various European countries.

Below, we present draft legislation, potential templates that could be used in various countries, and legal analyses and tools. These legal analyses provide a framework for the viability and implementation of these laws under local, European Union and international trade, economic and human rights law.
